Believe it or not, Thorgal is now (or at least very soon) in peer-reviewed scientific literature:

Merci pour le partage ! C’est sûrement très intéressant, mais une traduction française aurait bien aidé parce que je ne suis pas sûr que les traducteurs automatiques feront du bon travail sur une publication scientifique (et 50 pages en anglais, c’est beaucoup pour moi).
L’étude de Vincent Labatut porte sur l’analyse des réseaux de personnages dans la série. Si j’ai bien saisi, elle les compare aux réseaux sociaux existants et s’appuie sur ses résultats pour chercher des similitudes entre Thorgal et les mythes islandais (les albums de Yann sont sûrement bien placés sur ce point) et s’intéresser à la place des femmes dans la saga.
L’étude a l’air de mériter le détour. J’ai notamment retenu (en parcourant rapidement) ce tableau qui analyse les cycles et en propose une traduction en anglais. Ça mériterait débat, pour voir si vous validez.
I recommend any Thorgal reader here to at least check some figures and their corresponding descriptions in this paper.
